Brief overview of the site and its discoveries.
Akrotiri is a Bronze age harbour town that is rich in culture and material items. The site is described as breathtaking, as the first buildings and structures that can be seen, the Xeste 3, "The House of the benches", The West House, and the 'Ladies House.' As stated before, the site is rich in material objects containing lots of bronze tools, pottery and even negative imprints of artefacts made of natural resources. These exist mainly because any item made from natural materials, such as wood, were destroyed by the volcanic dust. Casts of these imprints have been made, such as the 'Akrotiri Table'(Pictured below), and the Theran bed.
